Facing Snowstorms and Minus 27°C Temperatures

Khansa described the expedition as both thrilling and physically demanding.

“The journey was very exciting and extremely challenging, from the first day to the last. We were exposed to snow in freezing conditions and it was very exhausting,” said Khansa.

From Camp 1 to Camp 3, the team was constantly hit by snowstorms with extreme temperatures dropping to minus 27 degrees Celsius The harsh terrain and severe weather meant every step had to be taken with extreme caution.

For safety reasons, the team decided not to push for the summit. However, Khansa’s spirit remained unshaken. She successfully raised the Indonesian Red and White Flag at an altitude of approximately 6,400 MASL, in the Pamir Mountains as a symbol of national pride.

“We did not reach the summit due to the extreme conditions. But we are very proud for Indonesia — we still raised the Red and White Flag,” she said.

Although the summit was not reached, Khansa affirmed her determination to try again.

“Insyaallah, we will keep trying and come back to give our best for Indonesia. Long live and glory to Indonesia,” Khansa Syahlaa concluded.
